![]() The card is amazing, and while Mage is still getting other nice tools in the next wings, we can’t simply not want to play Firelands Portal right. So we can’t simply forget Mage gets a very powerful tool in this first wing as well: firelands-portal. The deck will obviously get a lot better with the Imp, and the replacement is kinda obvious (swap 1xdark-iron-dwarf and 1xdarkshire-librarian for it), but let’s focus on testing the standalone power of Silverware Golem first. This build runs no forbidden-ritual+darkshire-councilman combo, instead it focus on the discard factor, trying to make the best out of it. The biggest point about Discard Zoo is that it opens up for a different strategy than the traditional Zoo we play nowadays, and it might feel good not getting so hard countered by ravaging-ghoul as Zoo is right now. The Imp, however, is only being released in the last wing of Karazhan, so we have a lot of time to playtest Silverware Golem without the Imp to see the implications. What we don’t know is if the card itself is going to make Discard Zoo possible even without malchezaars-imp. I am initially testing 1 Raptor 1 Fork, but I am still not sure the correct build.Īnother card that is making an appearance in the first wing of ONK is silverware-golem. I have been playing this deck for quite a lot of games (farming my last Golden hero here, which is Rogue) and I have to say the deck is well rounded up, so it feels extremely hard to find an actual spot for the Fork. At the same time, the list gets a lot more consistent because it actually has more proactive plays than Miracle, so it’s a win-win situation.ĭeadly Fork helps this list getting better because it is a proactive play that can also benefit unearthed-raptor and N’Zoth, adding yet another Deathrattle for the deck to make good use of. ![]() To talk a little about how this list plays out, this list uses all of Rogue’s anti-aggro tools from Miracle but with a much powerful endgame in the nzoth-the-corruptor base deck. That list seems to be getting quite the cool upgrade with deadly-fork, and I decided to adapt my version of the list to get the best out of it. That list was finally made public, with some players claiming to have reached top 100 for 2 and even 3 seasons with variances of this list, qualifying for the HCT tournament because of this. So, are you ready for some more amazing Brews to playtest with?Ī couple of articles ago I talked about the secret Rogue list that people have been playing to high legend that wasn’t made public because these players wanted to keep getting high legend with the list for a few more seasons. Since then, I worked pretty hard on some more amazing brews for you guys to play with, but didn’t really had the time to write this article up until now.īut now I finally had time to write more about the other Parlor Brews i’m working on. My first brews article had some interesting brews, and you can find them all here: Because of this, I started doing tons and tons of Brewing. Below you can see a list of the Hearthstone cards that will be removed from Arena draft (banned) in an upcoming patch.Īyala said Blizzard is looking at other ways to balance Hearthstone's Arena, such as drafting by rarity or adding a designer input value to govern how often individual cards show up in draft - but these plans are only in the early stages, so nothing's concrete yet.So, with the HCT tournament just around the corner, the cards that we are going to have access in the first wing have been made public (for regionals purposes). Nevertheless the developer is determined to get it right, and has hit on the bright idea of removing some low-powered cards as well as the worst offenders from the other end of the scale in order to ensure everybody gets a chance to shine. What makes it so tricky to resolve is that Blizzard really values the excitement engendered by big, game-changing cards, as well as the familiar tool sets of iconic cards. In a new developer blog post on, Blizzard's Dean Ayala copped to the hate: Hearthstone's Arena has a balance problem. Hearthstone has many fine qualities and deserves its popularity, but there's been a lot of criticism of Arena, just one of its multiple play modes. Hearthstone has a balance problem, and Blizzard is determined to resolve it.
